Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-22

This is a plain-language template, not legal advice. If you operate in a jurisdiction with specific disclosure requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), have a qualified lawyer review and adapt this before relying on it.

1. What we collect

2. How long we keep it

DataRetention
Scripts (text you paste/upload) Kept on your account indefinitely, until you delete them or close your account.
Generated audio & subtitles 7 days on Free; 30, 180, or 365 days on paid plans depending on the plan; Studio keeps files while subscribed. Files are automatically deleted afterward.
Speech-to-text uploads The audio file you upload for transcription is deleted as soon as the job finishes, whether it succeeds or fails. The resulting transcript text is kept on your account indefinitely, same as a script, until you delete it.
Account & billing records Kept while your account is active, and afterward as required for tax/accounting purposes.

Note the difference: your scripts don't expire on their own. They stay on your account like any file you've saved, so you can regenerate audio from them later. Only the generated audio has an automatic expiry, tied to your plan.

3. Who processes your data

We use the following sub-processors to run the Service. They only receive the minimum data needed to perform their function:

4. Your rights

You can access and export your scripts and audio from within the Service. To request deletion of scripts, audio, or the full account, contact support. Your account data is removed subject to any records we must retain by law.

5. Cookies

We set a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF-protection cookie for security. If you're signed out, we also set a cookie to remember your light/dark theme choice; once you're signed in, that preference is saved to your account instead.

When analytics are enabled, we use Plausible, which doesn't use cookies and can't track you across sites. We may also load Google Tag Manager (GTM) when configured, to manage additional measurement or marketing tags. GTM and any tag added inside it can set their own cookies — we don't add tags beyond what's disclosed here without updating this policy first. You can see what's currently configured for your account on the Account page.

6. Children's privacy

The Service isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
